Professor Adrian Fung is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Paediatric Surgery, Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He graduated from HKU with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2013 and pursued further training in paediatric surgery and urology in the Department of Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital. He obtained his Fellowship qualification in March 2023. To further refine his expertise, he pursued overseas specialized training in paediatric renal transplant surgery and urology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy’s Hospital in London, and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, supported by multiple scholarships and travel grants.
Professor Fung is also an active academic surgeon. His clinical and research interests span minimally invasive surgery, paediatric urology, oncology, and translational research. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and abstract proceedings in leading journals and presented at major international paediatric surgery conferences. His scholarly contributions are further recognized through his editorial board memberships in several respected peer-reviewed journals.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Professor Fung is deeply engaged in professional leadership, he is Chairperson of the Young Fellow Chapter at Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and Council Member of the Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Surgery.
