Professor Hailei Li is a vascular surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong.

Professor Li began his medical education at Wuhan University, earning a Bachelor of Medicine and a Master of Clinical Medicine in 2009. He then specialized in vascular surgery at Peking University, where he completed his surgical training and earned an MD and a PhD of Surgery in 2013. His training included a stint as a visiting scholar at Stanford University, supported by the China Scholarship Council. As a recipient of multiple international accolades, his awards include the Young Practitioner Scholarship from the American Interventional Academy (2018), the Wang Zhonghao Prize in 2019, and the Society for Vascular Surgery's International Scholarship in 2024.

Professor Li is a prolific scholar and has authored over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to contribute key chapters to seminal textbooks, sharing his expertise in the field of vascular surgery
